The WLS Weather Department

Left: Nothing is more important than good weater coverage. Weather is a "must" on all WLS newscasts and other local programs. Weather-men Robert E. Lautzenheiser, left, Charles B. Johnson and Virgil F. Hendricks must have been ready to predict a break in the 1953 drought, judging by their smiles. They serve under Chief Meterologist Gordon E. Dunn. The special U.S. Weather Bureau wires furnishes WLS with frequent forecasts and weather condition reports daily.
