Left: Showmanship, coupled with versatility as musicians, perhaps best describes the WLS Rangers, who serve as the accompaniment group for singers on daytime programs. They combine over 100 years of musical experience. Lew Klatt, veteran orchestra accordion man, upper left' Arthur "Holly" Swanson, bass artist, upper right; Ewing "Toby" Nix is the violinist and Verne Fiedler, rhythm guitarist. They frequently feature their own arrangements of favorite songs. The Rangers add spark to any radio program. |
